The committee came to order. A quorum was present. Representative Stafford, the prime sponsor of HB 05-1351, Concerning the Sealing of Criminal Records, stated that the bill was important to pass but came with a large fiscal impact that could not be worked out in just one week. She provided the committee with the written testimony of Ms.Lisa Cappeli (Attachment A). No other witnesses were present to testify on the bill, and no amendments were offered by the committee or the bill sponsor. Representative Stafford asked the committee to lay the bill over to May 12.
