Representative Merrifield reviewed the provisions of Senate Bill 05-139, and indicated that the reengrossed version was basically a new version of the bill that addressed supplemental on-line services offered by school districts. A hand-out was distributed (Attachment I).

Tim Snyder, representing Colorado Online Learning and the Colorado Association of School Executives, testified in favor of the bill. He distributed a hand-out (Attachment J).

Mr. Snyder responded to questions regarding the authorization for a new provider to continue the development of supplemental online courses for statewide delivery to all school districts, BOCES, and charter schools.
