Mr. Greg Fulton, representing the Colorado Motor Carriers Association, spoke in support of the bill. Mr. Fulton commented the legislation would provide protection for both the employee and employer of trucking firms that provide emergence assistance to motorists along trucking routes. Representative T. Carroll clarified that under state law, only those who are party to an accident are required to stop and provide emergency assistance to motorists involved in accidents.
