Representative DelGrosso, Chair, explained that the committee heard initial testimony on House Bill 12-1179 on February 23, 2012. On behalf of the bill sponsor (Representative Kerr J.), Representative DelGrosso, noted that House Bill 12-1179 modifies the makeup of the 15-member voting board of trustees of the Public Employees' Retirement Association. Representative DelGrosso continued by saying that the bill sponsor had asked the committee to postpone House Bill 12-1179 indefinitely so that more research can be done on the policy issue.
