The committee came back to order. Representative Pace, prime sponsor of House Bill 12-1275, returned to the table. Representative Pace explained that they are in the process of obtaining the required 3,000 signatures and that the signatures should be completed within a week or two. Representative Ramirez commented on the special license plate signature requirement. Representative Looper asked for more information concerning the moneys that will be available for shooting ranges for young people in the state.

Mr. Tim Mauck, representing the Bull Moose Sportsman's Alliance, testified in support of the bill. Mr. Mauck commented that he is a commissioner for Clear Creek county and explained the intent of the bill. Mr. Mauck responded to questions from the committee concerning what the license plate will look like (Attachment G).
