Representative Levy discussed amendments L.010 and L.011 (Attachments B and C), which would allow trained professions to perform auricular acudetox if it is allowed in their scope of practice. Representative Levy responded to questions about which mental health professionals would be included in the bill. Dino Ioannides, Department of Regulatory Agencies, was asked to come to the table to responded to questions about which mental health professionals would be included in the bill. Mr. Ionnides discussed the potential rule-making the various mental health professional boards may need to do related to the bill. Representative Levy explained that amendment L.011 would limit the bill to mental health professionals. Representative Levy, Mr. Ionnides, and the committee dialogued about whether the various professional groups were supportive of the bill as amended by amendments L.011 and L.010.
