Mr. Campbell responded to questions regarding the functioning of a new human smuggling division and the scope of duties of such a division. Mr. Campbell then responded to questions regarding how illegal aliens being transported in the state would be treated by the new division. A discussion ensued regarding the fiscal impact of the bill compared to the number of people that are projected to be prosecuted for human smuggling or trafficking.
