04:06 PM -- Senate Bill 06-041

Representative Coleman, prime sponsor, presented Senate Bill 06-041, concerning prompt payment requirements for auto insurance claims. The bill came out of the Interim Committee on Auto Insurance. The bill would add auto insurance claims relating to health insurance to current statutory prompt payment requirements.

04:08 PM --
Julie Hoerner, representing the Department of Regulatory Agencies, testified in support of the bill. She stated that she believed leaving auto insurance claims relating to health insurance out of the prompt payment requirements was an unintentional omission when Colorado switched from a no-fault system to a tort system.

04:11 PM

Kristen Forrestal, Legislative Legal Services, responded to a question from Representative Carroll regarding the Senate amendment on page 2, lines 12-14 of the reengrossed bill regarding Section 10-4-620, C.R.S.
