Adopt draft conference committee report CLSB036.00PASS

01:28 PM

Kristen Forrestal, Legislative Legal Services, discussed draft conference committee report CLSB036.001 (Attachment A). She explained that the draft report clarifies that basic plans offered in the state do not need to be evidenced-based, but that they may be, eliminates the reference to the generic drug card, and specifies that as of January 1, 2008, a basic plan may be an evidenced-based plan. Senator Johnson asked whether the bill maintains four options for the basic and standard plans, and Senator Hagedorn responded that as of January 1, 2008, there will be four plan designs.
