Representative McFadyen reviewed the provisions of House Bill 06-1341, concerning the unlawful use of commercial driver's licenses. She discussed the new misdemeanors established in the bill. She responded to questions regarding the current provisions in law.

Greg Fulton, representing the Colorado Motor Carriers Association, testified in favor of the bill. He described the increase in fraudulent commercial driver's licenses the association has seen. He stated that the association has discussed the issue with the ports-of-entry. He testified that a driver driving a vehicle with a fraudulent license is more likely to be driving a vehicle that may violate other standards. Representative McFadyen and Mr. Fulton both responded to issues raised by the committee.
