Representative McCluskey, sponsor, presented the bill regarding Medicaid enrollees and their medical goods. He described the bill as a consumer protection bill. He stated CAMES manufactures some goods in state and imports others. He described measures Medicaid enrollees must take to have equipment repaired.

Michele Longo, CAME - Rehab, spoke in support of the bill. She described scenarios in which suppliers do not evaluate the patient's needs and therefore do not provide appropriate medical equipment. She answered questions about the bill's requirement that Medicaid medical good suppliers have an in-state office.
