Senator Veiga introduced her bill creating incentives to bring the motion picture industry to Colorado. The committee was presented a brief video.

03:44 PM -- John Singer, Screen Actors Guild of Colorado, spoke in support of the legislation. He discussed the current climate in the state for acting jobs. He responded to questions from the committee.

03:47 PM -- Dennis Berkfeldt, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, spoke in support of the legislation. He provided a handout to the committee (Attachment L).

03:54 PM -- Greg Babcock, representing himself, spoke in support of the legislation. He discussed his experience working on films in the state.

03:58 PM -- Tony Gagliardi, National Federation of Independent Businesses, spoke in support of the legislation. He discussed a "spillover effect" when movies are filmed in the state and the impact on area businesses.

04:00 PM -- Martin Cupf, Colorado Film Commission, spoke in support of the legislation. He responded to questions from the committee about how the proposed incentive would compare with what other states are offering.
