01:42 PM -- Senate Bill 06-109

Senate Bill 06-109, which would prohibit an insurer from using a credit score that is unfairly discriminatory, was before the committee for action only. The bill was previously heard by the House Committee on Business Affairs and Labor on Monday, April 24, 2006 where it was amended and referred to the Committee on Appropriations. On Tuesday, April 18, 2006, the House Business Affairs and Labor Committee reconsidered the motion that sent Senate Bill 06-109 to the Committee on Appropriations on April 17, 2006. Representative Butcher, prime sponsor, moved to lay Senate Bill 06-109 over until May 11, 2006. The motion was seconded by Representative Coleman. Representative Marshall stated that she would like Representative Butcher to discuss possible amendments with the Senate sponsor before postponing the bill indefinitely and pulled the bill off the table.
