05:26 PM -- House Bill 06-1072

Representative Vigil, prime sponsor explained that House Bill 06-1072 allows the spouse, child, or parent of a person who died in the line of duty while serving in the armed forces and deployed to a combat zone to apply for a fallen service member special license plate for which the deceased would have qualified. The plate would be available to applicants who meet these requirements and who pay the specified taxes and fees for regular motor vehicle registration plus an additional one-time $25 fee. After a brief discussion, Representative Judd, acting Chair, placed the bill on the table for action.
