Senator Evans, prime sponsor, reviewed the provisions of Senate Concurrent Resolution 06-007, concerning efforts to promote the use of hydrogen as a motor vehicle fuel, and, in connection therewith, exempting from taxation personal property used to produce and dispense hydrogen as a motor vehicle fuel, exempting hydrogen-power vehicles from the specific ownership tax, setting energy and environmental goals for hydrogen fuel projects, establishing demonstration projects for hydrogen fueling stations and the use of hydrogen-powered vehicles in the state motor vehicle fleet, and establishing specifications for hydrogen fuels until national standards are adopted.
