Representative Gardner, sponsor, described the provisions of the bill concerning the requirement that gasoline contain a specified percentage of ethanol. He also described ethanol production in Colorado and the U.S.

03:30 PM -- Trent Bushner, Colorado Corn Growers Association, spoke in support of the bill and described the benefits of ethanol in gasoline. These benefits include reduced pollution, increased energy independence, and a better price for corn producers. He also responded to questions from the committee.

03:56 PM -- Troy Bredenkamp, Colorado Farm Bureau, spoke in support of the bill and described factors affecting the price of gasoline that contains ethanol. He also responded to questions from the committee.

04:09 PM -- Roy Turner, Colorado Wyoming Petroleum Markets and Convenience Store Operators, responded to earlier testimony and committee questions (Attachment D, E, and F). He also spoke in opposition to the bill.

04:41 PM -- Marilyn Hajicek, Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, commented on the bill and the and expressed concern about provisions of the bill that include unclear language that must be implemented by her department.
