Senator Grossman introduced his bill creating the Uniform Debt-management Services Act that would require the registration of providers of debt-management services with the state.

David Emerick, Colorado Financial Services Association, expressed concerns with the bill as it left the House of Representatives. He expressed opposition to the restrictions in the bill that limits new credit counseling companies to non-profit organization status.
