Senator Isgar, Chairman, called the meeting to order.

Senator Isgar suggested that the Senate concur with House amendments to the bill, and request that the Conference Committee be dissolved. He said that he believes that the Roundtable process will result in the approval of good water projects, and that the bill will help small entities that lack the funding to conduct environmental assessments.

Representative Curry said that she believes that there may be some conflict between this bill and the Water Conservation Board process and that she would like to continue dialogue on this process this summer. Committee members discussed their expectations of the process by which projects will be approved under the bill. Senator Isgar asked the members of the committee if there would be any objection to his plan to ask the Senate to concur with House amendments and dissolve the conference committee. There was no objection.
