Senator Traylor, prime sponsor, explained SB 06-224, concerning event data recorder as a motor vehicle feature. Representative Harvey, House Sponsor, also explained provisions of the bill. He distributed proposed conference committee report CLSB224.001 (Attachment A). The prepared conference committee report accedes to the House amendments made to the bill as the amendments appear in the rerevised bill and also adds the following language: "the data is retreived by a motor vehicle dealer or by an automotive technician to diagnose, service, or repair the motor vehicle at the request of the owner or the owner's agent."
