Representative Witwer, sponsor, described the provisions of the bill that limits liability of owners of abandoned mining operations on land used for public recreation. He also read an e-mail from a landowner expressing concern about their ability to protect themselves from lawsuits related to public use of their land by hikers. Representative Witwer also described the provisions of Amendment L. 001 (Attachment D) and Amendment L. 002 (Attachment E) that amends Amendment L. 001.
