The conference committee came to order. A quorum was present. Committee members were given a news article regarding the sealing of court records (Attachment A) and Amendment CLHB.001 (Attachment B). Representative Decker explained some of the issues involved with the bill and protecting privacy in court records, and the proposal to authorize a cross-agency interim study to come up with a balanced solution. Committee members commented on the proposal.

08:36 AM -- At the request of the chairman, Ms. Sherrie Kester came to the table to provide background on how the judicial branch is moving to file all documents electronically and to secure personal identifying information on those documents. Ms. Kester responded to questions from the committee.
