Representative Pommer discussed the provisions of Bill 1 - Passenger Carrier Criminal History Check (Attachment A). The bill requires certain motor vehicle carriers that transport passengers to obtain employees' and contractors' fingerprints for purposes of conducting criminal history record checks. In addition, the bill requires the Colorado Bureau of Investigation to conduct a state and federal criminal history record check using the fingerprints.
