Senator Keller received the information she was waiting to obtain from the department regarding whether a transistion program exists currently for foster children who reach the age of 18. She explained to the committee that the department stated that federal law would allow the state to cover foster children up to age of 21, however the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing does not support it. Committee discussion ensued.
