Representative Hoppe, sponsor, closed her remarks on SB05-062 concerning recreational in-channel diversions. Testimony on the bill was heard on March 21, and the bill was laid over, as amended. The committee recessed after a motion to the Committee of the Whole was made and a substitute motion to the refer it the House Judiciary Committee failed on a vote of 5-5.

10:11 AM -- House Bill 05-1307

Representative Penry, sponsor, described the provisions of HB05-1307 concerning a preference for the purchase of Colorado agricultural products by state government entities. He described Amendment L. 002 (Attachment A) and explained that the bill includes a recommendation from the Agriculture Promotion Task Force that was established in HB04-1089. Committee discussion followed about the preference for agricultural products that was created in 2004 (HB 04-1093).
