Representative Pommer, prime sponsor, introduced Senate Bill 05-082 which creates the Colorado "Kids First" license plate for motor vehicles that do not exceed 16,000 pounds. It authorizes the issuance of the plate to motorists who pay the appropriate one-time fee of $25 and who have a certificate issued by the Rocky Mountain Research and Prevention Institute. He provided Attachment C, a fact sheet entitled Colorado Kids 1st License Plate Initiative Fact Sheet.
