He discussed current facilities at the Pueblo Mental Health Institute. He answered questions about patient lengths of stay at Pueblo, persons involved in potential lease agreements, the need for a new mental health facility, the separation of patients at the new facility, and possible expansion of the facility.

Mark Ivandick, Legal Center for People with Disabilities, spoke in support of the bill. He described the facilities at the Pueblo Mental Health Institute. He stated they are not currently conducive to effective mental health treatment.

Steve Schremakers, Pueblo Mental Health Institute, described the facilities at the Pueblo Mental Health Institute and the need for mental health treatment for incarcerated persons.
