The bill requires that any disciplinary proceeding against a mental health professional be commenced within five years of an alleged act or failure to act. The House Committee of the Whole referred the bill back to the House Public Health Care and Human Services on February 9. Representative Melton asked for the bill to be postponed indefinitely.
