Representative Lee and Representative Fields, sponsors, introduced House Bill 15-1336. The bill creates a grant program to be developed by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE). Grants will be awarded to one or more workforce centers to fund the development and expansion of programs to provide specific workforce development-related services to veterans and their spouses. Workforce centers selected by the CDLE to participate in the program are required to report to the CDLE director who will relay the information from the reports to the General Assembly.

The bill sponsors responded to questions from the committee regarding the inclusion of spouses, how the program compares to other programs already offered by CDLE and other entities, details related to the grants, reporting requirements, and other details related to the bill and proposed program.
