Senator Kerr introduced Senate Bill 15-1204, concerning distillery pub alcohol beverage licenses. The bill creates a distillery pub license, which is a new alcohol license that will allow a spirituous liquor producer to operate a pub that serves alcoholic beverages, including spirituous liquors that the producer ferments and distills, for consumption on the licensed premises. The producer may also sell not more than 2,700 liters per year of its spirituous liquors to independent wholesalers for distribution to licensed retailers, directly to the public, and the licensed retailers at wholesale. Senator Kerr responded to questions from the committee.

Senator Woods introduced House Bill 15-1202, concerning the ability of a licensing authority to reissue expired alcohol beverage licenses. The bill allows the local and/or state liquor licensing authority to reissue a liquor license after it has been expired for more than 90 days but less than 180 days. The licensee must pay a $500 late application fee plus a fine of $25 per day for every day the license has been expired beyond 90 days. After submitting the application and paying the late fee and fine, the licensee may continue to operate until final action is taken on the license.

Senator Jahn introduced Senate Bill 15-1244, concerning cork and carry wine from liquor licensed clubs. Under current law, customers of certain establishments licensed to serve alcohol beverages for on-premises consumption, are permitted to reseal and remove one opened container of partially consumed wine from the premises. This bill adds a club license to the list of licensees where a customer can reseal and remove a bottle of wine.
