01:35 PM -- SB 15-133

Representative Rankin, sponsor, introduced Senate Bill 15-133. Under current law, the director of the Department of Personnel and Administration (DPA) prepares an annual compensation report of the state personnel system and issues recommendations and estimated costs of the employee compensation package for the upcoming fiscal year. The bill modifies this report to include an analysis of retirement benefits in the compensation. The bill also modifies the total compensation study, prepared by the director of the DPA and the state auditor, to be done every four years instead of every eight years, as is currently required.

Representative Rankin provided the cover letter from the study done under Senate Bill 14-214 by the DPA to the committee (Attachment A).
