Representative Esgar, sponsor, introduced House Bill 15-1307. The bill changes the definition of a qualified commercial structure for purposes of the historic preservation tax credit. The new definition matches that for a qualified residential structure and requires that structures be listed on the state register of historic places or be designated as a historic structure by a local government.

The committee reconvened. Representative DelGrosso and Representative Ginal, sponsors, introduced Senate Bill 15-137. The bill expands the type of entities that are authorized under state law to provide the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) from only nonprofit organizations to also include public, private, and for profit entities. The establishment of these additional types of PACE organizations is subject to federal approval.

Representative DelGrosso introduced and explained amendment L.003 (Attachment B).

The bill sponsors responded to questions from the committee regarding the On Lok Lifeways PACE Program in San Francisco, acceptance criteria, and the pay of employees.
