02:01 PM -- Confirmation of Housing Board - State

Allison George, Deputy Director, Division of Housing, Department of Local Affairs, introduced the Governor's appointments to the State Housing Board and discussed the role of the board. She explained that Barbara Cleland of Aurora, reappointed for a term expiring January 31, 2019, and as a Republican and resident of the Sixth Congressional District, was unable to attend the hearing and will be considered in absentia. Letitia Jones Horace of Denver, appointed for a term expiring January 31, 2019, and as a Democrat and resident of the First Congressional District, was also unable to attend the hearing and will be rescheduled.

Raymond Timothy Hudner of Grand Junction, reappointed for a term expiring January 31, 2019, and as a Republican and resident of the Third Congressional District, discussed his experience and interest in serving another term on the State Housing Board (Attachment A). He also responded to questions from the committee about his experience and the availability of housing for persons with disabilities.

Ms. George also responded to questions from the committee about the activities of the Division of Housing and the availability of affordable housing in rural and urban areas of the state.
