Ram Karan and Ana Moreen, representing SelectHub, joined the committee to demonstrate the SelectHub software program, which manages IT procurement, vendor selection, development, and implementation processes. Mr. Karan walked the committee through the web-based program and highlighted the various dashboard views the program provides for each IT project. He commented that the program can act as a project manager for the Office of Information Technology (OIT). He explained the various functions offered by the software and pointed out the ways each function might benefit the committee and OIT. He responded to questions from the committee about vendor interaction with the software. He also spoke about the ability to use the system to store, export, and compare data. Discussion ensued regarding wider use of the product. Senator Newell commented that the committee should recommend that all IT projects in the state flow through a product like this one.

Representative Tate spoke about his experience with the software and commented about the benefits of being able to track design requirements for an IT project. He discussed the IT procurement process and how SelectHub could streamline the process and cut costs. Representative Tyler asked how to get access to the program.
