The committee came back to order. Representative Mitsch Bush, sponsor, presented House Bill 15-1224, which allows Colorado Mountain College to use appropriated funds for all its programs. She described the two local district community colleges in the state : Aims Community College and Colorado Mountain College. She described the schools and the students they serve. She described the locally controlled, elected boards, the programs these schools provide, and the budget line items for the two schools. Representative Mitsch Bush responded to questions from the committee.

He explained his disagreement with the fiscal note. He explained that his school does not participate in the state's new performance funding model for higher education. Mr. Giardino responded to questions from the committee.
