Refer Senate Bill 15-021 to the Committee of the WPASS

02:24 PM -- SB15-021

Representative Vigil presented Senate Bill 15-021, concerning the repeal of the Interstate Pest Control Compact. The Interstate Pest Control Compact (IPCC) was formed in 1968 in order to provide financial assistance to states who may not have the necessar resources to combat plant pest infestations that threaten the agricultural and natural resources of other states impacted by that infestation. Recently, the IPCC board transferred its assests to the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture Research Foundation, making the IPCC, as it exists in Colorado law, unnecessary.

Representative Coram moved Senate Bill 15-021 to the Committee of the Whole, and no testimony was taken on the bill.
