The bill allows the Secretary of State to forward any information obtained from the Division of Motor Vehicles in the Department of Revenue to the appropriate county clerk for the purpose of updating an elector's voter registration.

Ms. Staiert discussed the process of drafting the bill, current voter registration law, and the need for streamlining the registration update process. She responded to questions from the committee about the process for updating information.
