Representative Melton, prime sponsor, came to the table to present House Bill 15-1207. The bill allows the use of earphones while driving if the earphone covers only one ear and is connected to a wireless, hand-held telephone. Under current law, it is a class B traffic infraction to use earphones while driving. Representative Melton explained Amendment L.001 (Attachment A), which incorporates language to allow the use of devices that cover a portion of the ear.

Becker volunteered to be appointed to the Colorado Energy Office, and Representative Kraft-Tharp and Representative Carver volunteered to be liaisons to the Department of Transportation.
