Senator Newell introduced Senate Bill 15-193, concerning the consolidation of two reports that the Statewide Internet Portal Authority (SIPA) is required to submit to the members of the General Assembly. Under current law, the SIPA is required to report to the business committees of the House and Senate and the Joint Budget Committee (JBC) by November 1 of each year regarding:

Additionally, SIPA is required to submit a written annual report by November 1 of each year. This annual report contains a complete and detailed operating and financial statement of SIPA during the preceding fiscal year. The bill, recommended by the Joint Technology Committee (JTC), combines the reporting requirements into the annual report and has SIPA submit the report to the JTC, the JBC, and the business committees of the House and Senate.
