Senator Balmer introduced Senate Bill 15-202, concerning the regulation of water conditioning appliances pursuant to the plumbing code. The bill excludes the design, installation, and repair of water conditioning appliances connected to the potable water system with a pipe that it greater than two inches nominal diameter from the definition of plumbing. It also excludes from the definition of plumbing contractor a person who subcontracts with a plumber if all plumbing performed pursuant to the person's contract is completed by a licensed plumber. Senator Balmer provided Amendment L. 001 (Attachment B) to the committee and responded to questions from the committee.
