10:22 AM -- HB15-1212

Representative K. Becker, prime sponsor, presented House Bill 15-1212. Under current law, the State Land Board (SLB) in the Department of Natural Resources has statutory authority, to be repealed on July 1, 2015, that allows it to convey land directly to a local government up to twice in a fiscal year. This bill makes the SLB's authority to make two such conveyances in each fiscal year permanent.

10:25 AM --
Tobin Follenweider, representing the SLB, testified in support of the bill. Mr. Follenweider described instances in the past five years in which the SLB has made the types of transactions covered by the bill. He responded to questions from the committee.

10:28 AM

Representative K. Becker wrapped up her presentation of the bill and asked for a favorable recommendation.
