12:39 PM -- HB14-1376

Representative Buckner, co-sponsor, introduced House Bil l4-1376, which requires the Department of Education (CDE) to create a report for each school which analyzes which students are placed in differentiated courses, and how the students in those courses perform on standardized tests. He discussed the needs of students, and the goal of having schools and districts be more aware of disparities in placement and achievement. He described the socio-economics of his district, and why students at lower socio-economic levels have fewer high-level classes available to them.
