Representative Ginal made comments about House Bill 14-1297. The bill requires the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to conduct an analysis to determine whether oil and gas operations have an impact on human health along the Front Range. The committee heard public testimony on the bill on March 20, 2014. Representative Ginal discussed the testimony on the bill. She referenced an opposition statement distributed by the Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry prior to the meeting. She stated that while there has been an analysis done in Garfield County, there have not been any analyses done on health risks from oil and gas operations on the Front Range.
