Representative Swalm, sponsor, presented House Bill 14-1177 concerning requirements governing meetings of the boards of county commissioners of the larger counties. The bill allows a board of county commissioners in counties with 100,000 or more people to hold fewer than two meetings per week under circumstances outlined by the provisions and if deemed reasonable by a majority of the board.

07:27 PM -- Ryan Parsell, representing El Paso Clerk and Recorders Office, spoke in favor of the bill. He said that the bill saves time and resources for county employees.
