Ms. Theresa Holst, Legislative Council Staff, updated the committee about small projects around the Capitol Building. She provided a packet of pictures (Attachment C) and discussed the plaque being prepared for the dome observation deck.

Ms. Holst described the plaques that would be added to describe the Hall of Fame stained glass windows in the rotunda, as well as a descriptive plaque to accompany the presidential portrait collection. The committee clarified the location of these portraits and plaques.

Ms. Holst noted the display cabinets on the third floor, which would also benefit from additional description. Mr. Pechota added information on the work of the Capitol Art Master Plan Subcommittee and their proposal for this area.

Ms. Holst described proposed updates to Mr. Brown's Attic, illustrations of which are included in Attachment C.

Mr. Walter and Mr. Pechota discussed the focal point of the photo on the dome observation deck. Ms. Bishop recommended that this photo be updated from time to time.

Committee members discussed the color scheme in Mr. Brown's Attic with Ms. Holst. Mr. Patterson recommended that Ms. Holst return with more final plans for Mr. Brown's Attic, including for the wall colors.

Representative Hullinghorst and Ms. Holst discussed the dating on the observation deck panel.
