Representative Fields and Representative Pabon, co-sponsors, presented House Bill 14-1175, which creates a study to determine the best methods for recruiting and retaining minority teachers in Colorado. Representative Fields discussed the percentage of minority teachers in Colorado and the gap between the percentage of minority students and the percentage of minority teachers. Representative Fields discussed the reasons she introduced the bill.
