Representative Ginal discussed House Bill 14-1281. The committee heard public testimony on the bill on Thursday, March 13, 2014. The bill allows terminally ill patients access to investigational products. Representative Joshi discussed strike-below amendment L.003 (Attachment A). The committee discussed the amendment. Discussion included how the bill will effect hospice patients, what services are included in in-home care services, and whether patients who use investigational drugs could lose their health insurance coverage. Representatives Joshi and Ginal responded to questions about whether various interested parties support amendment L.003. The committee discussed whether patient data would be reported.
