Representative Peniston, co-sponsor, introduced Senate Bill 14-165, which allows school districts flexibility for the 2014-2015 school year when considering student growth as part of a teacher's effectiveness rating. She discussed the provisions of Senate Bill 10-191, and pointed out that SB14-165 is a simple bill that will only last one year. Committee discussion ensued. The co-sponsors responded to questions from the committee. Committee discussion continued.
