Senator Kefalas, Chair, called the meeting to order. He discussed the addition that the Senate made to page 6, line 11 of the rerevised version of the bill. He stated that the amendment changes the use of the request for proposal process from every year, to every three years.

Representative Peniston asked about the removal of "economic opportunities" from the bill and stated that the House Education Committee added the language back in.

Senator Roberts responded to Representative Peniston that the language was not removed deliberately and that it was a good catch by the House Education Committee.
