Senator Tochtrop, chair, called the Joint Business committee meeting to order.
10:49 AM -- Presentation on Joint Business Committee SMART Government Act Recommendations to the Joint Budget Committee
Senator Tochtrop reported to members of the Joint Budget Committee that the Senate Business, Labor, and Technology committee met January 16 to discuss their budget recommendations to the JBC and had none. Representative Williams similarly reported that the House Business, Labor, Economic, and Workforce Development committee met January 17 to discuss their recommendations, and that the House Business committee only had recommendations on departments' strategic plans, not to the JBC on departmental budgets. Representative Duran, representing the Joint Budget Committee, presented the budgets for the departments and agencies for which the Joint Business committee has legislative oversight, in the following order: the Office of Economic Development and International Trade; the Colorado Department Labor and Employment; Department of Personnel and Administration; and the Department of Regulatory Agencies.
