Representative Baumgardner, bill sponsor, presented House Bill 1158, which repeals the "Colorado Inedible Meat Rendering and Processing Act of 1967" (Act), including the licensing and inspection requirements for disposal plants (rendering businesses) and transporters of inedible meat products. In addition, the bill grants the Commissioner of Agriculture rule-making authority to specify the labeling and operating requirements for the production of commercial feed under the existing "Commercial Feed Law".
